The Client Partner is the primary contact with Razorfish’s clients. While managing across different functional
teams, which include members from both web dev and web media, the Client Partner will work closely with clients to identify their specific needs and business objectives, and then help identify and implement products and services that help achieve the client's goals. The Client Partner role includes P&L responsibilities from an individual and team management level. In addition, the client partner will serve as the primary client partner on one of the larger clients in respects to the total engagement contribution.



In addition to the regular Client Partner duties, the Client Partner is responsible for mid level
leadership/guidance to:



1. Accounts that are managed by other Senior Account Directors, and Account
Directors.

2. The Client Partner will provide the mentorship and training to the assigned
Senior Account Directors, and Account Directors.

 

Total Engagement Contribution



• 3.5+ Million/year

o 2.0+ Million/year by Individual

o 1.5+ Million/year by Team.

 

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

Senior/mid level client and industry relationships (30%)

o Ability to sell full suit of all Aquantive services

o Owns senior level client relationships and works to contribute strategic
value beyond day-to-day campaign tactics

o Shares responsibility for 100% client retention by proactively identifying
client risks or opportunities and managing his/her client teams to effectively
respond to these client needs

o Develops a broader industry network of clients and contacts through speaking
and publishing

o Providing thought leadership to help guide clients in the digital space.

O Acquiring and developing long-term relationships with strategic clients.

O Build strong rapport, new and existing.

O Successfully manages the master service agreement (MSA), statement of work
(SOW) and change requests.



 



  • Full P&L Ownership (30%)

    o Communicates progress of revenue to budget forecast to the web media
    management team throughout the year

    o For specific clients, attains P&L targets through a combination of
    existing business contributions and new business development

    o Works with team to establish effective pricing and staffing levels for each
    client; monitors P&L fluctuations to proactively identify risks and
    opportunities.

    O Orchestrates cross functional teams to achieve strong client results

    o Generate invoices on schedule and collect fees using guidelines set by the
    Avenue A/Razorfish finance department

    o Accountable for integrated client results across all relevant products/services

    o Responsible for completing successful contract negotiations.

    O In combination with others, consistently cultivates a portfolio of new
    business efforts.



 



  • Management (20%)

    Internal management activities:

    o Mentors team and champions continuous improvement throughout the
    organization; achieves recognizable improvements in the skill level and P&L
    performance of his/her team

    o Drives the success of all performance management initiatives and programs
    with emphasis on the successful completion of all performance review processes

    o Works cross-functionally with other managers in the organization (e.g.
    Technology, Creative, Media, CIG, etc.) to identify and resolve any business
    issues

    o Leading highly skilled client delivery teams to enhance and deepen client
    relationships

    o Actively leads in areas such as regular update meetings, ongoing
    communication, etc.

    o Maintains a low staff turnover across the engagement

    o Works with the sr. management team on strategic business and employee
    initiatives.

    O Manages resource management matters to the best interest of the client and
    office.

    External management activities:

    o Aggressively attracts, markets and recruits top talent for AA/RF



 



  • Performance Development/Training Contributions (10%)

    o actively participates in the training and development activities of the
    office by leading training sessions, digital workshops, and other performance development/training
    activities.



 



  • Culture change agent (10%)

    o Owns and delivers against one or more overarching office initiatives/goals

    o Champions positive change and a creative, collaborative work environment

    o Commit and follow AA|RF's four core values (Passion, Accountability,
    Creativity, Teamwork)

    o Evangelizes a culture in which losing is not tolerated and continuous
    improvement and growth is a universal expectation.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience




  • 10+ years of related industry experience, preferably consulting, interactive, agency or direct marketing experience

  • College degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred

  • 7+ years of demonstrated track record of developing senior level client relationships - strong client references are necessary

  • Proven experience in managing teams of 10+ people and in working cross functional across an organization

  • Strong knowledge or experience in marketing and advertising, with particular emphasis on interactive media, direct marketing, strategy, analytics, technology, and new emerging trends.

  • Recognized industry expertise in product and services for one key industry. (e.g. retail, automotive, financial services, tech, pharma) Marketing expertise a plus in existing relationships with Business, IT or Marketing executives within Fortune 2000 companies

  • Skills & Knowledge

         members on the team

         • Strong negotiation skills

         • Industry experience with digital transformation solutions

         • Demonstrated prowess in all MS Office programs
