Avenue A | Razorfish New York Named to the List of Outside Magazine's Best Places to Work

New York, NY – April 14, 2008 The New York office of Avenue A | Razorfish™, one of the largest interactive services firms in the world, has received one of Outside Magazine's Best Places to Work 2008 awards in the Large Company category.

“Being honored with this award is a credit to our employees and to the unique culture we have created,” said Bob Lord, President of the East Region of Avenue A | Razorfish. With about 410 employees in their flagship office in Manhattan, the agency’s local clients include Condé Nast, Maybelline, XM Radio and Starwood Hotels. “Our company sponsored activities and events provide employees with healthy and fun outlets that harness creative energy and improve practices both at work and in their daily lives.” Examples include the Green Team dubbed ”Office | Earth,” Cycling Club, NY Cares Team, Global Exchange Program, social events and summer outings.

This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the country that not only create a great work environment but also promote an environmentally friendly business process and create a work-outdoor life balance for employees. The list is made up of 30 companies split into three categories: 10 small-sized companies (15-49 employees), 10 medium-sized companies (50-249 employees) and 10 large-sized companies (250 and more employees). Avenue A | Razorfish has been named one of Outside’s Best Places to Work 2008 in the large category.

Companies from across the nation entered the two-part process to determine Outside’s Best Places to Work. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall process as well as preformed the analysis and determined the final rankings. To be considered for participation, companies had to be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity, be a publicly or privately held business, have a facility in the United States, have at least 15 employees in the United States, and have been in business a minimum of one year. The actual rankings will be published in the May 2008 issue of Outside Magazine.
